C/R: 3 Arrested for Disrupting a Commissioning Event

The police in the Central Region have in their grips three suspects who allegedly disrupted a commissioning event at Apam in the Central Region.

The incident which left one person injured occurred on September 16, 2024.

A statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on Thursday said other suspects have been declared wanted.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Alhaji Kassim Mohammed, Stephen Cobbinah alias Bonjour, and Joseph Mensah alias Kofi Kokor.

A part of the police statement read, said the culprits were “armed with offensive weapons, and disrupted a commissioning ceremony for the equipment for the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) at Apam, which resulted in the violence”.

Currently, those arrested are being processed for court while efforts are underway to get the other suspects also arrested.
