We’ve not Given Ouattara Ultimatum- Hearts Management

The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak has discredited media reports to the effect that Aboubakar Ouattara, the Head Coach has been given a five-match ultimatum to prove himself worthy of the job.

In a press statement on Wednesday, September 11, it stated that the rumour is entirely false and fabricated and should therefore be disregarded.

On the contrary, it said it is rallying the support of the masses behind the team despite the setback over the weekend.

“The management and the supporters’ leadership, NCC, issued a communique employing all Phobians to throw their unflinching support behind the team as we go into the new football season to ensure that our collective interest of achieving success is met and this is firmly on course despite the setback in match-day-1.”

It added, “Coach Ouattara, his technical team, and players deserve our support, which is paramount to our resolve to achieving success.”

It cautioned all Phobians against paying heed to such commentaries from the media and individuals who do not have their interests at heart.

Hearts started the 2024/25 season on an unexpected note as they got beaten by a goal by newly promoted Basake Holy Stars on Sunday, September 9, 2024.

The Accra-based team will next face Heart of Lions at which point they will be expected to redeem themselves.
