Private School Teachers Need Better Educational Qualifications – Headmaster
The headmaster of New Hope of Glory Preparatory School at Kronom Buosie in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Benson Brenya, has urged the government to provide support or make provision for all private school teachers in the country to upgrade their educational qualifications.
According to him, teachers in private schools possess more experience, knowledge, and skills to teach effectively, but most lack adequate training.
He emphasised the need for them to acquire proper qualifications to become professional teachers.
Additionally, Mr. Brenya urged the government to include private schools in the school feeding programme, as they also cater to Ghanaians.
He made these remarks during the school’s graduation ceremony at Kronom Buosie.
The proprietress of New Hope of Glory Preparatory School, Mrs. Florence Asante Kobea, noted that this is their second graduation in their ten-year history.
She highlighted the challenge of parents transferring their children from private schools to government schools due to the inability to afford registration fees.
She appealed to the government to pay half of the registration fees to support private schools and alleviate their challenges.
Mrs. Kobea advised parents to never give up on their children’s education, as it will bring glory in the future.
