Nana Yaw Amponsah Exits FC Petrocub after 6 Months
The former Chief Executive Officer of the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has exited as the President of Moldova’s top-flight club FC Petrocub Hincesti.
It comes just six months after taking over administration.
It follows the discovery of some unusual activities and disparities in vision regarding the future of the club, a statement released by Samaritan Investment, a strategic partner of the club which appointed Nana Yaw, said.
He therefore leaves together with Samaritan Investment after guiding the club to their historic Super League and the Moldovan Cup victories.
“The decision was made due to the discovery of unusual activities within the club and a mismatch in vision regarding the future of sporting direction of the club.”
According to the company, it stuck to all agreements in the partnership despite breaches and violations on the part of the club.
It has since directed its legal team to pursue the matter further for onward action.
“As a reputable consortium with a proven track record of success, we take these matters seriously and have entrusted our legal team to investigate and pursue all uncovered irregularities to their legal and ethical conclusion.”
Nana Yaw Amponsah joined the club in January 2024.
