Karela Confident Of Escaping Relegation
Karela United is confident of winning their last game against Medeama Sporting Club and escaping relegation this season.
After their emphatic win against this season’s champions, the relegation-threatened club say their confidence has been boosted for their final game this weekend.
“Karela United Football Club wish to bring to the attention of the general public and our teeming supporters that the club’s quest to avoid relegation in the ongoing league campaign remains resolute and unabated.”
Appreciating the support of the fans, the club said, “Following the crucial win over Samartex last week, the club’s attention has turned to the final match away to Medeama, which we are confident of winning.”
The final game will be hosted by Madeama on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Karela after 33 games hold 43 points from 11 wins, 10 draws and 12 losses this season. They are in the 14th place on the log, a point away from Hearts of Oak who occupy the 15th place.
In their last game against FC Samartex, they won by 4-2.
Ocupying the relegation zone are Real Tamale United (RTU), Bofoakwa Tano and Great Olympics with Hearts of Oak and Karela threatened.
There currently remains one game to end the season.
