Special Police Team Sent to Takoratwene after Discovery of 2 Headless Bodies
The Ghana Police Service has deployed crime scene experts, homicide investigators, and undercover officers to Takoratwene, a town near Maame Krobo in the Eastern Region to augument police there in the investigation of murder of two men in the town.
According to the police, the investigation will be intensified with the deployment of the team from the national headquarters.
“The Ghana Police Service has intensified investigations into the murder of two persons in the Eastern Region town of Takoratwene, near Maame Krobo, by deploying a Specialized Investigative Team to assist the Eastern North Regional Police Command.”
Urging the community to remain calm, it noted that it is in regular contact with the families of the victims and the community leaders to find an acceptable and quick solution to this atrocity.
Meanwhile, the community has been urged to support the Police with any relevant information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits.
It further assured, “The Police are confident the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be found and brought to face justice.”
Two bodies were discovered without their heads and other body parts in the community following reports that they had gone missing.
The remains were also spotted with suspected gunshot wounds on their backs, according to reports.
The incident happened last week and has left residents in panic.
