Bobone Trading Ltd To Donate Water, Paints For Otumfuo Anniversary
Bobone Trading Limited, a construction and finishing materials company, has obliged itself to supply customized mineral water and paints for the event to culminate the 25th enstoolment Anniversary celebration of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
This was communicated to the Monarch by Mr Yaghi Ibrahim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company alongside Mr Aishis Markhijani and Mr Yeboah Emmanuel, the General Manager and led by Mr Joseph Antwi on Friday, February 22, 2024.
Shedding light on the activities of the company, Mr Antwi said Bobone Trading Limited is a construction material company with five branches and headquartered in Kumasi.
“Their branches are in Tema, Techiman, Takoradi and Tamale… They have collaborated with KMA on so many projects.”
He further declared the intention of the company which also produces mineral water to supply 10,000 boxes of water as well as take up the cost of providing a facelift to principal streets in the city of Kumasi by painting streets.
“They heard about the 25th Anniversary of the King and they have decided to support His Majesty. They have a mineral water-producing company and they will be donating 10,000 boxes of bottled water to serve guests. The bottled water will be customised to reflect the anniversary. They will also donate paints to rehabilitate streets, light poles and road markings.”
He continued, “They are here to seek the permission of the King to undertake this project.”
On his part, Mr Yaghi emphasized the need to contribute towards the anniversary as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“We need to celebrate with our King. We are donating the water. We have been in Ashanti for more than 15 years; so now Ashanti is our home and we are doing our best to keep it in a better state for the King. Ashanti has given us a lot to ply our business so we are trying to support him as much as we can.”
His Majesty expressed his appreciation to the company and prayed for it growth.
Principal Events For 25th Anniversary
The 25th enstoolment anniversary of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will begin in March and culminate in May 2024.
Principal among the events is a non-denominational thanksgiving service slated for April 26, at the Dwabrem grounds at the Manhyia Palace, per schedules released by the Planning Committee of the anniversary.
Later in the evening of April 26, there will be an anniversary dinner at the residence of the King.
Another thanksgiving service and dinner will be held at the St. Cyprian’s Church and the Manhyia Palace, respectively, on May 6 to mark the 74th birthday of the King.
The 25th Anniversary will climax on May 12, 2024, with a durbar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
