Walewale Adam Smith Is More Incompetent Than Mahama

Governance expert Kwaku Owusu Antwi, has made controversial statements asserting that Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is more incompetent than former President John Dramani Mahama. He emphasized that this does not imply Mahama’s competence.

Antwi argued that over one million Ghanaians voted against Mahama in favour of Bawumia due to the perception of the latter being a competent economist.

However, he contended during a panel discussion on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye  that, this decision did not alleviate economic challenges but worsened them because during Mahama’s tenure, the exchange rate was GHC3.8 to a dollar, whereas it has surged to nearly GHC13 presently.

“Over one million people voted against Mahama to bring in the so-called competent one, an economist, who is Walewale Adam Smith. Incompetent Mahama had the dollar at GHC3.8, and we voted for Akufo-Addo and Bawumia because of incompetent Mahama. But now, the dollar is almost GHC13, so who is incompetent after 67 years?”

Furthermore, the governance expert criticized President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, labeling him as dishonest due to recent remarks made.

“That is what Akufo-Addo is doing – dishonesty. Sometimes, I get pissed off and wonder, why is this old man like this? Because an old man who has said Ghana is sitting on money but is hungry can get angry when someone complains of bad roads.”
