Martha Ankomah Drags Lil Win To Court
A confrontation between two Ghanaian actors, Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win and Martha Ankomah will end through a legal suit as the latter has dragged the former to court.
She filed a writ with the Accra High Court on February 14, 2024 demanding a sum of GHC5million in damages, compensatory damages for the damage done to her reputation and an apology for an alleged defamatory statement.
“Damages in the sum of GH¢5 million for the defamatory statements made by Defendant. Compensatory damages for the damage done to the reputation of Plaintiff.
“Aggravated damages for the reckless and malicious publication of the defamatory words. An order directing the Defendant to publish an apology and a retraction of the said defamatory words with the same prominence.”
It comes after Lil Win took to his Facebook page to throw some insults at the lady and in the process, factored in her ambassadorial deal with GTP Fashion.
In the live video, the actor characterized the actress as disrespectful and arrogant.
“Martha Ankomah, you don’t respect. You are arrogant and disrespectful. You are not a star. No one knows you. Not even your child recognizes you {as a star}. You are not a star, you are an upcoming actress. What do you have? You are not a star.”
“We will stop patronizing GTP brand because of you.”
His attack against Martha, according to him, sprang from an alleged derogatory remark she made against Kumawood when she was offered a movie role by Director Fiifi Gharbin.
