Accra Olympics Say “Bye” To Annor Walker

Coach Jimmy Corbblah takes over at Accra Great Olympics in the interim after the club bid a final farewell to Head Coach Daniel Annor Walker, less than a year after the latter’s appointment.

In a press statement on Thursday, the Teshie-based club said they had parted ways with the gaffer on mutual ground.

It comes after a torrid season so far, winning only one of their last eight games in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) placing 12th on the league table with 21 points.

In a caption to the press statement left on their social media pages, Olympics said, “Not all marriages are meant to last and this is no exception…Thank You, Sir Daniel Annor Walker.”

The statement read, “Accra Great Olympics and Coach Annor Walker have mutually parted ways.”

The mantle has now fallen on Assistant Coach Jimmy Corbblah in the interim while the club scouts for a suitable coach to take charge of the team.

Annor Walker returned to Olympics in July, ahead of the 2023/2024 season. He won only five of his 17 matches, losing six and drawing six.
