Police Arrest 2 For Erecting Speed Ramp Along Ho Road
Two persons are in the custody of the Ghana Police Service for erecting an unauthorized speed ramp on a road at Adidome, a town along the Ho–Sogakope highway in the Volta Region.
Their arrest follows the circulation of their work in a viral video in which together with others the suspects had heaped muddy sand and bricks in the middle of the road in the name of a speed ramp. One white saloon car sighted in the video appeared stuck in the heap.
The culprits were also spotted exchanging words with a commuter who took a video of their work and criticized their action as destruction of state property.
From the exchanges, it appeared the culprits who were using the Ewe dialect, were defending their action.
The two suspects identified as Saviour Azakasi and Quarshie Godson are assisting in investigations to arrest the rest of the suspects.
“The Police have arrested two persons in connection with the erection of an unauthorised speed ramp along the Ho – Sogakope highway in the Volta Region… Both suspects are currently in custody assisting investigation while efforts are underway to get the other suspects arrested.”
