Lil Win Seeks Sponsorship As He Eyes Afigya Kwabre South Seat
Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win has lamented about failed attempts to secure sponsorship for his political ambition after announcing it for the first time in August 2023.
In a video, the actor who seeks to contest the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency seat in the Ashanti Region as an independent candidate said all his attempts have proven futile.
He however asserted that he is still in high spirits and bent on making life better for his potential constituents.
“I have not been able to find any sponsor. I have visited some companies and they keep tossing me around. I have been asked to present proposals which I have done but I am not discouraged,” he said seated behind a table with a few notes of cedis emptied from a savings box.
Demystifying the origin of the notes displayed, he said, “This money {you see} has been saved in the past four months.”
According to him, the money will be used to print flyers and branded T-shirts for his campaign.
He added, “My message for the people of Kwabre is that I am going through all these challenges due to your development. I will take you out of your difficulties, poverty, bad roads, no bed syndrome in your hospitals and destruction of public properties in the district.”
Lil Win intends to battle it out with a three-time parliamentary representative of the constituency, William Owuraku Aidoo as Ghana goes to the polls later this year.
The constituency was created in 2012 and has since been represented by Hon Aidoo.
