See Road Diversions On Tema Motorway During Flowerpot Interchange Project

The Department of Urban Roads has issued details about the diversions created on the Accra-Tema Motorway to make way for the Construction of the Interchange from Flowerpot to East Legon.

In a statement, the Department said diversions are being implemented at the construction sites.

“The Ministry of Roads and Highways acting through the Department of Urban Roads wishes to announce to the public that owing to the construction of the bridge over the motorway to connect Flowerpot to East Legon as part of the Flowerpot Interchange Project, traffic diversions are being implemented on the Accra-Tema Motorway around the construction zone.”

It said vehicle height restriction gantries will be positioned at the construction zone to prompt motorists.

Meanwhile, motorists have been advised to exercise caution and adhere to management signs including posted speed limits during the diversion.

“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding throughout this construction period as we strive towards meeting the scheduled completion date. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during the construction process,” the statement added.
