2023/2024 betPawa Premier League Winner Gets ₵500k
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a raise in rewards for the winner, first and second runner-ups in the yet-to-begin 2023/2024 betPawa Premier League season.
The winner will receive ₵500,000 up from the ₵300,000 cash prize Medeama Sporting Club received last season.
The second and third will receive ₵200,000 and ₵100,000 respectively this season, the President of the FA, Kurt Okraku announced during the launch of the premier league season in the Eastern region yesterday.
The Aduana FC and Bechem United last season received GH₵200,000 and GH₵80,000 respectively as the first and second runner-ups.
Speaking at the event, the FA president is quoted as saying “To increase the competitiveness of the League, the Ghana Football Association will reward from the 1st to the 10th positions in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season.”
The 4th, 5th, 6th 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th teams will respectively receive ₵80,000, ₵70,000, ₵60,000, ₵50,000, ₵40,000, ₵30,000 and ₵20,000.
In all, he said, ₵1,150,000 in cash will be given to the top ten clubs.
Additionally, all participating clubs will receive support packages, the GFA noted.
