Accra Lions attacker Seidu Basit joins Sudanese giants Al Hilal on five-year deal
Ghanaian attacker Seidu Basit will feature in the Sudanese top-flight after completing a move to Al Hilal in the ongoing transfer window.
The enterprising forward joins the Sudanese giants on five-year deal from Ghana Premier League outfit Accra Lions.
Seidu Basit completed his move to Al Hilal on Wednesday after passing his mandatory medicals and is expected to play a huge role for the club.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a descent season with Accra Lions last-term, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists in 23 appearances in the Ghanaian top-flight.
He gained prominence in the domestic top-flight league after scoring four goals against Medeama in the immediate past season.
Al Hilal are augmenting their squad for the 2023-24 CAF Champions League as they have an eye on the prize under experienced coach Florent Ibenge.
Al Hilal had a disappointing campaign last term when they suffered elimination after the group stages, finishing behind Al Ahly SC and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Basit becomes a new teammate to compatriot David Abagna Sandan, who joined the Blue Waves in February this year from Real Tamale United.
