ECG Directs Customers To Go For Paid-Up Meters
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has issued a directive to customers who have made advance payments for electricity meters.
In a notice to customers, the ECG directed customers who have paid for new and separate electricity meters to visit its District Offices to pick them up.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform our cherished customers who have paid up for new and separate meter service provision that they should visit their respective ECG District offices to be served,” a notice from the company dated June 14, 2023, said.
The company advised customers to bring their payment receipts and national IDs for easy identification and necessary documentation.
It further cautioned the public against engaging in any illegal activities.
“Customers who are caught to be involved in any illegality will be charged with the criminal offence of stealing in accordance with the law, and their names published widely,” it warned.
