Assin North By-Election: LPG Candidate Vows to Break NPP/NDC Dominance

The Assin North parliamentary candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mad. Bernice Enyonam Sefenu has vowed to end the dominance of NPP/NDC in the country’s electoral system by winning the upcoming by-election.

She says the continuous reliance on the two-party system in Ghana is gradually retarding progress as far as development is concerned hence the need for the country to end the trend and vote for different political parties to enhance development.

Bernice Enyonam Sefenu blamed the poor developmental status of the Assin North Constituency on the over reliance on the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress. She is pleading with them to change their voting pattern and vote for her in the coming by-election.

“We need to break the dominance of the NPP/NDC in this constituency because we lack development. It is not good that as a constituency we have always stacked to the two parties and so if we want to see development, then we need to change our voting pattern because both of them have nothing new to offer us” she insisted.

The electoral Commission will on 27th June conduct a by-election at Assin North to elect a new Legislator following the cancelation of their 2020 election after finding their former MP, James Gyakye Quayson not qualified at the time of filing nominations.

Bernice underscored the need to support the youth in the constituency to set up their own businesses to reduce the unemployment rate in the area.

She says the LPG places high premium on youth development and as such, have the best youth oriented policies.
