“It’s never a Mistake for an Artiste to have a Songwriter” – Burniton

MC Burniton, a music executive and hype man, has expressed the belief that it is never a mistake for an artiste to collaborate with a songwriter. 

In an interview with Mr Black on Kumasefie on May 20, he emphasised that alongside having good equipment and a skilled producer, strong songwriting is crucial for an artiste’s success.

Drawing upon examples from the music industry, MC Burniton mentioned renowned artistes like Kanye West and Beyoncé who have worked with songwriters. He highlighted that although the songs may be written by others, the artiste’s role lies in effectively communicating and delivering the message.

According to MC Burniton, partnering with a songwriter can bring significant benefits to artistes.

It allows them to tap into the expertise and creativity of others, resulting in well-crafted songs that resonate with audiences.
