Race Course Market Women Honour Asantehemaa on Mother’s Day

Nana Afia Kyeiwaa, the leader of Suame, Bantama, and Race Course Market, along with market women, presented food items to Asantehemaa as a special gift in celebration of Mother’s Day.

In an interview with Opemsuo News Reporter, Adwoa Serwaa Yonkodo, Nana Kyeiwaa expressed her belief that Asantehemaa deserved the utmost respect and appreciation as she is the mother of all the people in the Ashanti region, serving as a source of inspiration for various institutions and individuals.

She further shared the excitement felt by all the women who joined together to gather these items, demonstrating their deep love and gratitude towards Asantehemaa.

Additionally, Nana Afia Kyeiwaa made a commitment to Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu III, to devote her efforts to the development of the three markets entrusted to her care. 

She pledged to work collaboratively with Suame leaders in order to address the issue of roadside traders.
