“I Drank Human Blood as Water to Survive on the Sea”: An Immigrant Shared Experience

A house-wiring electrician, Kwadwo Afrifa, an indigene of Asante Mampong Benim in the Ashanti Region, has revealed that he drank human blood as water to survive on the Senegal Sea in a process to go to Spain in 2006.

He disclosed this shocking incident in an interview with Barima Yeboah Asuamah on Opemsuo Radio’s new programme dubbed “Obi Man So” (The Diaspora), which features diaspora matters on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

According to him, he drank the blood in the Senegal rebels’ massacre on the sea.

“I escaped death and eventually arrived in Mauritania, and I was arrested by the Mauritania Soldiers,” he revealed.

He indicated that there were marine forces on the deep sea that took some of the immigrants away, and some of them were killed and dumped into the sea by the rebels.

In addition, Afrifa said they were encountered by so many marine forces in the deep sea.

“I was becoming a lunatic when I arrived in Ghana; I always shouted in the evening, but through a certain man of God, I became well-sounding,” he stressed.
