Energy Minister In Italy For Natural Gas Conference
The Minister for Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh is in Italy for the 2022 edition of the Gastech exhibition and conference.
The event is taking place at Fiera Milano.
According to the Ministry, the event will put the spotlight on Ghana’s gas potential.
The Conference gathers leaders from industry, government, finance and technology to share insights and perspectives, and discuss crucial industry topics, including changing gas demand dynamics, the impact of new technology, shifts in government policy, and the different solutions required to succeed in the face of growing global ambitions for sustainable integrated energy value chains and net-zero emissions.
This year, the Minister joined his colleague ministers including, H.E. Chief Timpre Sylva from Nigeria; H.E. Hardeep Singh Puri from India and H.E. Dwi Soetjipto the chairman of SKK Migas in a discussion.
The Ministry says the Ghanaian Delegation participating in the conference is seeking to position strategically, Ghana’s gas industry favourably especially as Ghana continues to advocate for the use of natural gas, a cleaner form of energy in the overarching context of a just and fair energy transition.
