Report: Accra Zoo Closed Down

The Accra Zoo has been closed to the general public, it has been reported.

This was after a lion mauled a young man who trespassed the confines of the wild animals.

The Forestry Commission reports that the man was spotted inside the enclosure of the lions while officials of the zoo were on routine inspection.

He is reported to have scaled the security fence and entered the enclosure of the lion.

His bold adventure ended him up with injuries from an attack from one of the lions which eventually caused his death.

The police Service says it is collaborating with the Forestry Commission to investigate the cause of his death.
