According to the Convener of Affirmative Action Bill Coalition, Mrs. Sheila Minkah-Premo stated that the Bill has become long overdue concerning the passage process into law.
According to her, the Bill when passed will help the calling for “Gender Equality” in the country.
On her part, the Head of Inclusion Desk at the CDD, Madam Yaa Oforiwaa Amanfo appealed to the Government and Parliamentarians to pass the Affirmative Action Bill into law to help more women to contribute their knowledge and ideas toward the development of the country.
Madam Oforiwaa Amanfo indicated that more women in decision-making will help the country to take appropriate decisions.
She said, the lack of commitment on the part of successive Governments has been the major challenge to the passage of the Affirmative Action Bill.
