Ministry Of Gender Launches Campaign On Child Development
The Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) says it is launching a campaign on Early Childhood Development dubbed “I Will”.
The campaign is in partnership with UNICEF, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The Early Childhood Development campaign is meant to promote quality caregiving practices for children aged 0-8 years.
“The objective is to promote an integrated approach to ECD communication and ensure all children (0-8), especially the most vulnerable ones, survive, thrive and develop their maximum potentials”, it said.
The MoGCS added that the campaign is designed to address challenges associated with the care of children and serve as a rallying call for parents, guardians and other stakeholders to increase their commitment to child development.
In addition to the launch, the Ministry says it is rolling out media engagement, community engagement, orientation and training of stakeholders and digital promotion of the campaign.
