Police Issue Warning After Downpour
The Ghana Police Service has directed the general public to tread cautiously as they step out after a downpour in Accra and its environs.
This was contained in notice after a downpour in the capital city of Ghana and other regions.
Following the rains, Citinews reports that Adabraka, Osu, Kaneshie First Light, Trade Fair, Accra Central and several others are experiencing floods.
“Accra and its surrounding enclaves are experiencing a downpour and due to this, Commuters and motorists are advised to be cautious as some places might be flooded.
“Low-lying and flood-prone areas should be avoided as much as possible”, a part of the notice said.
The Police service also noted that patrol teams have been deployed to ensure the safety of all.
“Anyone in an emergency due to the weather should contact the Police Emergency numbers 18555, 191 or 112 for assistance”, it added.
