3 Things Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III Was Unwavering In

Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehmaa, dedicated her leadership to three key areas, exhibiting unwavering passion that drove transformation.
The four include breastfeeding, education and God’s work.
Breastfeeding Advocacy
Leaning on her personal experience at birth, the Queen held a passion for maternal and child welfare.
This encouraged her to institute an annual event dedicated to encouraging mothers across the Asante Region to embrace this natural practice.
During her fifth anniversary celebrations as Asantehemaa, Her Majesty demonstrated her commitment through action, making substantial donations to the Mother–Baby Unit (MBU), the Pediatric Emergency Care Unit (PICU), and the Pediatric Emergency Unit (PEU) at both Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Manhyia Government District Hospital.
More remarkably, she personally covered all medical bills and expenses for new mothers, ensuring that financial constraints would never prevent women from accessing quality maternal care.
Education
Nana also had her passion deeply rooted in education.
Her impact in this area extends beyond policy into a permanent legacy.
It is no secret that she sponsored the education of thousands of brilliant but needy students across all levels of education through the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation (OOTIIF).
In recognition, the Saviour Church of Ghana named its school at Bonwire after her- Nana Konadu Saviour School.
God’s Work
The late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, was an honourable and recognised member of The Saviour Church Ghana.
She received the teachings of the church, subscribed to it and fellowshipped with it for the remarkable last 66 years of her life.
Her Majesty was a highly committed member of the Church, according to the General Superintendent of the religious body, Hon Opanin Abraham Kwaku Adusei.
According to him, the revered Queen lived a Christ-fulfilling life as she cultivated a personal relationship with God through prayer, scripture, and worship and remained committed and loyal to the church’s teachings.
