24 year old Shot In The Throat To Death

Angela Akua Serwaa Dwomoh, a twenty-four year old has been reported dead after being shot in the throat, according to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology District Police.
Report from the police indicates that the deceased was shot at Maxima Junction near Goil filling station at Ayigya in the Ashanti region.
The incident happened on Tuesday, 13th July, 2021, in the evening.
According to the police, the deceased was taken to the KNUST hospital but was confirmed dead before arrival.
Confirming the incident to Opemsuo radio, Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, ACP Kwaku Buah said, the relatives of the deceased have been identified.
He said, according to her family, “She arrived home from work on Tuesday, 13th July, 2021 at 6pm and informed them she was going to meet up with someone around KNUST to deliver something.
“Witnesses said they heard the sound of gunshots after the lady alighted from a commercial vehicle and crossed the road but thought it was the sound of a car or a motorbike.”
He also pointed out that there was no belongings with the deceased when they arrived at the hospital.
However, “bystanders said she had a ladies bag with her when she alighted from the car and so they believe the robbers took it from her.”
Until her death, “Angela stayed and worked at Tanoso and was a hardware store attendant”, ACP Buah noted.
He further urged anyone with any information on the incident to report to the nearest police station.
