453 Companies Face Strike-Off, 323 Already Dissolved in ORC Crackdown

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has moved to clean up the Companies Register, announcing plans to strike off 453 companies and confirming the dissolution of 323 others.

In a press release issued on November 4, 2026, the ORC said the action is being taken under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).

The 453 companies have been given notice in Volume 48 of the ORC Companies Bulletin dated October 15, 2026.

They have three months to show cause why they should not be struck off, after which their names will be removed from the Register, and they will stand dissolved if they fail to do so.

Meanwhile, 323 other companies have already been struck off.

According to the ORC, they were given notice earlier in Volume 40 of the Bulletin; the period expired, and no cause was shown to the contrary.

Their dissolution was published in Volume 49 of the Bulletin, also dated October 15, 2026.

The ORC said the exercise is part of its ongoing enforcement to keep the Register accurate, credible and reliable.

Affected companies, creditors, shareholders and other interested parties have been advised to regularise their status where applicable, or contact the ORC for guidance.
