Supreme Court to Resume Sittings Tomorrow Despite JUSAG Strike – Judicial Secretary

The Supreme Court will convene for its normal court business on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, despite the ongoing strike by the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG).
This was contained in a notice from the Office of the Judicial Secretary dated November 2, 2026, and signed by Judicial Secretary Musah Ahmed.
“Pursuant to the direction of His Lordship, the Chief Justice, it is hereby notified for the information of all Lawyers and parties to proceedings that the Supreme Court shall convene for its normal court business tomorrow, Tuesday, 3rd November 2026,” the notice stated.
The notice comes hours after JUSAG, in a separate statement, said its strike is still on, despite describing a meeting with the Chief Justice and Management of the Judicial Service as progressive.
JUSAG said Management has tabled outstanding issues before the Office of the President for expedited resolution and that it has sighted a revised letter from the Ministry of Finance regarding payment of allowances but is awaiting an improved approval that satisfies its demands before calling off the industrial action.
