A/R: About 15 Communities to Experience Power Cut On Wednesday

Residents and businesses in at least 15 communities in the Ashanti Region will be without power for seven hours on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, as the Electricity Company of Ghana undertakes maintenance.

ECG, in a notice issued Tuesday, said the planned works are aimed at improving service delivery but will result in a temporary outage between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The areas to be affected are Adansi Asokwa, Ayokoa, Kojo Nkwanta, Fumso, New Edubiase, Apagya, Adansi Praso, Assin Praso, Bodwesango, Nsueam, Banka, Pipiiso, Nsuta, Hwediem, Obonsu Wuruyie and adjoining communities.

ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to take note and make alternative arrangements for the period.
