Fashion Icon Nana Akua Addo Says Viral Assault Videos Were Leaked

Lawyers for Ghanaian style icon Rosemond Akua Adobea, widely known as Nana Akua Addo, say viral harrowing videos of a domestic dispute involving her and her children were leaked without her knowledge and consent.
In a press statement dated October 6, 2026, and addressed to all media houses, her solicitors, Nkrabeah & Associates, said the leak is a deep violation of the privacy of their client and her children, who are all minors.
“We have been drawn to several harrowing videos circulating on social media, showing our client and her children embroiled in a domestic dispute. These videos were leaked without our client’s knowledge and consent,” the statement said.
The firm appealed to all media houses to refrain from publishing and further sharing the videos, particularly those that show the abuse of a minor.
According to the lawyers, the matter is delicate and involves young children who are already dealing with trauma, and they are counting on responsible journalism to safeguard their mental well-being.
The statement further noted that the matter is sub judice and is in the hands of the appropriate authorities.
Nkrabeah & Associates expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police for their timely intervention and said they remain confident in the court system to stand against domestic violence.
They added that their client will address all pertinent issues at the appropriate time, and asked the media and the general public to respect the privacy of the family as they navigate the difficult situation.
Responding to the videos following their circulation, her estranged husband, Mr Harold Duodu Norman, who has been accused of domestic violence, denied the allegations.
His solicitors indicated that the videos and pictures were recorded in 2021 incident and are being released five years later to elicit public sympathy while the parties are in court.
The lawyers further stated that the videos and pictures are part of both criminal and civil actions currently before the court and DOVVSU, alleging that Nana Akua Addo has been on the run from investigators since July 2026 following a complaint of domestic violence concerning the children.
