Petroleum Commission, Kosmos Energy Sign Agreement For Secondment Of Engineers To Texas

The Petroleum Commission and Kosmos Energy Ghana have signed an agreement to facilitate the secondment of some engineers from the Commission to Kosmos Energy’s facilities in Texas, USA.
The initiative forms part of the Commission’s commitment to building a highly skilled and technically competent workforce capable of effectively regulating and supporting Ghana’s upstream petroleum industry.
Under the agreement, the engineers will gain hands-on exposure to international industry practices and specialised technical operations, providing them with valuable knowledge and experience that will ultimately strengthen the Commission’s institutional capacity.
At the signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission and the Managing Director of Kosmos Energy Ghana emphasised that partnership is key to building capacity and advancing Ghana’s petroleum industry.
The Commission described the initiative as more than a professional development opportunity, but an investment in Ghana’s technical capacity and the future of its upstream sector.
