A/R: Several Areas to be Affected by ECG’s Scheduled Two-Day Planned Maintenance

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a two-day planned maintenance exercise in the Ashanti Region scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday to improve service delivery.

 

The announcement was made on Monday, September 7, 2026, with the company indicating that the works will result in temporary power outages.

On Tuesday, September 8, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, areas to be affected include part of Abankro, Adense, Abira, Moshie Zongo, part of Pankrono Estate, Adompom Swedru, Wawase, Adumakase, Crop Research, Buobai, part of Yam Market, Dote, Duase New Site, part of Estate Junction, part of Konongo Zongo, Konongo Duase and Praso.

On the same day, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, the outage will affect Anyinam, Ahenema Kokoben, Sakora Park, Christian University, Odeneho Kwad-aso, OWASS, Dr ANANE, VIP Hotel, Breman, Kronum, UGC, Wood Village, Oti Kuwait, Oti Estate, Asaago, Bekwame, Kyekyewere, Trede, Paah, Pakyi No.1, Semanhyia, Sanvick, ICS and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, 9th September, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, the affected areas will be part of Effiduase, Ntukumso, Bouya, Oseikrom, Effiduase Asokore, Onwe, Achina, Asinimpong, Kwaso, Donaso, Ejisu Krapa, Kwamo Poly Junction, Okess Chairman Junction, Asenua, part of Ahwiaa and part of Asokore Mampong CCC.

 

Between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on the same day, power will be interrupted at Ampatia, Darko, Bebu, Ampabame, Nkoransah, Angel Estate, Mpatasie, Trede, Abusuakruwa, Maakro, Kronum Angel Educational Complex, Aboahia, Otumfuo Last Stop, Sepaase, Tabere, Akrafo Kokoben, Akwaboa, Konkori, Kentikyire, Bedaase, New Aduampong, parts of Paa, Afrancho, Duropam and surrounding areas.

ECG has expressed regret for the inconvenience that will arise from the exercise.
