Premix Fuel Supply Hit By Tanker Drivers’ Strike – Secretariat

The National Premix Fuel Secretariat has announced a temporary disruption in the supply of premix fuel across the country.

In a notice to stakeholders issued on September 3, 2026, the Secretariat said the disruption is as a result of the ongoing strike by the Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union.

“The National Premix Fuel Secretariat wishes to inform all stakeholders that the ongoing strike by the Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union has temporarily affected the supply of premix fuel,” the statement said.

Management said efforts are being made to address the situation and expressed hope that the strike will be resolved soon.

The Secretariat apologized for any inconvenience caused to fisherfolk and other stakeholders who depend on premix fuel and assured them of its continued commitment to ensuring an adequate and reliable supply.
