Kessben Group of Companies Confirms Death of Founder

The Management of the Kessben Group of Companies has confirmed the passing of its President, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lawyer Stephen Boateng, popularly known as Kwabena Kesse or Kessben.

In a press statement dated August 20, 2026, the Group said Mr Boateng passed on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in Kumasi following a short illness.

“It is with profound sorrow that the Management of Kessben Group of Companies… announce the passing of its President/ Founder/ Chief Executive Officer; LAWYER STEPHEN BOATENG (aka Kwabena Kesse / Kessben) who passed on Wednesday 19th August, 2026 following a short period of illness in Kumasi,” the statement said.

The Group said it mourns the tragic loss and extends its deepest condolences to his family, church, legal fraternity and wider social associates during this time of sorrow.

According to the statement, further details regarding official dates for the one-week observation and final funeral rites will be announced as they become available.

Meanwhile, the family has requested privacy and solemnity during this period of grief and will, in due course, announce days to receive commiserations in person.

A book of condolence will also be opened at his residence in Denyame, Kumasi from 9 am on Thursday, August 21, 2026.

The Kessben Group comprises Kessben Media, Kessben Travel and Tours Limited, Fosuah Hotel Limited, Kessben Driving School Limited, Kessben Shipping and Freight Forwarding Limited, Aseda Clinic Limited, Transit World Limited, Aseda Insurance Brokerage Limited and Kessben University College.
