One Dead, 14 Injured in Accra–Kumasi Highway Crash at Bunso

One person has died, and 14 others sustained injuries in a road crash on the Accra–Kumasi Highway near Paradise Restaurant at Bunso on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

According to an incident report filed by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the accident involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace.

The truck reportedly veered into the opposite lane while attempting to give way to a Toyota Vitz, leading to a head-on collision with the Hiace bus.

Firefighters from the Bunso Fire Station responded promptly to the scene and assisted in rescue operations, helped salvage personal belongings, and cleared the accident scene to restore traffic flow.

No further details on the identities of the victims have been released.

Police are yet to provide an update on investigations into the cause of the crash.
