Health Ministry Convenes Technical Working Group To Develop 4-Year Maternal Mortality Action Roadmap

The Ministry of Health has convened the second meeting of the 25-member Technical Working Group for the National Maternal Mortality Action and Response Program (MMARP).
The mandate of the group is to develop the MMARP Roadmap 2026-2030, which is expected to provide a comprehensive framework for tackling maternal deaths in the country.
Key deliverables under the roadmap include the definition of strategic pillars, priority interventions, implementation and monitoring & evaluation frameworks, as well as a sustainable financing strategy.
The initiative aligns with H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to strengthen healthcare delivery and provide practical local solutions to reduce maternal deaths in Ghana.
The Ministry said the MMARP is part of broader efforts to improve maternal health outcomes and ensure that every woman has access to safe, quality, and timely healthcare services.
