GIS Moves B1, B2 Emergency Visas Online

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has announced that it has migrated from the manual issuance of B1 (Business) and B2 (Tourist) visas under the Emergency Entry Visa (EEV) schedule to an online system effective August 3, 2026.
In a public notice, GIS said all applications in the stated categories must now be submitted online through the Electronic Visa platform at
The Service noted that both individuals and corporate entities may apply on behalf of their clients.
Each application will attract a standard fee of $260.00 payable by credit or debit card on the portal.
According to GIS, the digitisation is aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and convenience in visa processing for emergency business and tourist entry into Ghana.
For further enquiries, the public has been directed to contact GIS on 0291513470, 0291513231 or 0256126801. Additional information is also available on the Service’s website gis.gov.gh and its official social media pages.
