2026 WCQ: We’ll Guarantee Appreciable Visa Quotas For Ghanaian Fans- Ablakwa

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Ablakwa, says his outfit will guarantee an appreciable number of visas for Ghanaian fans to attend the upcoming FIFA World Cup tournament.

According to him, the United States, Canada and Mexico visas will be guaranteed for globally acclaimed fans.

He intends to leverage the country’s improved diplomatic relations to make this a reality.

“Ghanaians can be fully assured that the Foreign Ministry under my leadership shall leverage our improved cordial diplomatic relations with the United States, Canada and Mexico to guarantee appreciable visa quotas for our globally acclaimed football fans.”

This message comes in the wake of Ghana’s qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana sealed its spot at next summer’s World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America after a 1-0 win over Comoros on Sunday.

They finished as group winners with an impressive 25 points.

The Black Stars concluded the campaign with eight wins, one draw, and one loss, topping Group I with a six-point margin.
