2026 FIFA World Cup Africa Qualifiers: Ghana Falls In Group I
Ghana has drawn in the last group for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.
This was during a meeting by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in Abidjan in Ivory Coast.
Ghana is housed in Group I together with Mali, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Comoros and Chad.
In Group A are Djibouti, Ethiopia, Seriolione, Guinea Bissau, Burkina Faso, and Egypt.
Group B has South Sudan, Sudan, Togo, Mauritania, Congo DR, and Senegal whiles Group C includes Rwanda, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Benin, South Africa, and Nigeria.
Joining Mauritius and Eswatini in Group D are Libya, Angola, Cape Verde, and Cameroon. In Group E are Eritrea Niger, Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, and Morocco.
Featured in Group F are Gambia, Kenya, Burundi, Seychelles, Gabon, and Cote d’Ivoire whereas Group G has Mozambique, Somalia, Uganda, Botswana, Guinea, and Algeria.
Group H has Namibia, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Malawi, Equatorial Guinea, and Tunisia.
It is reported that the qualifying matches will take place on ten matchdays over the next two years, the first of which will be on November 13-21, 2023.
The next match days will be held on June 3-11, 2024, March 17-25, 2025, September 1-9, 2025, October 6-14, 2025, and November 10-18, 2025.
