GES Announces Promotion Application Extension
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced plans to extend the deadline for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Though the date was not announced, it urged prospective applicants who are finding challenges accessing the portal to be calm.
In a statement, the Service noted that eligible teacher who have served at least four (4) years in their current rank and are due for promotion will be fully supported to go through a stress-free application process.
“The Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to assure all teachers that the deadline will be extended.”
It further indicated that its technical team was working to resolve the lingering issue.
“We, therefore, encourage all prospective applicants to remain calm while the 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮l 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 works diligently to restore and improve the application portal. As soon as the portal is restored, applicants will be duly informed to proceed with their submissions.”
The GES announced the opening of applications for promotion on Monday, August 18, with a deadline of September 5, 2025.
The promotion ranks include Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II and Principal Superintendent.
