Manhyia Palace Museum Ranks 5th in Most Visited Places in Ghana for 2025
The Manhyia Palace Museum has been ranked the 5th most visited tourist attraction in Ghana for 2025, according to figures released by the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Abla Gomashie.
Giving a breakdown of the top 10 most visited attractions, the Minister said the 10 sites together recorded 1,377,588 visitors, representing 77% of all tourism visits in 2025.
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park led the list, followed by Kakum National Park in second place and Bonsu Arboretum/Eco Park in third. Cape Coast Castle ranked 4th, with the Manhyia Palace Museum in Kumasi placing 5th.
The Kumasi Zoo came in 6th, Accra Zoo 7th, Elmina Castle 8th, Shai Hills Resource Reserve 9th, and Aburi Botanical Gardens rounded out the top 10.
The Minister disclosed that Ghana’s tourism sector recorded growth across both international and domestic markets last year.
International tourist arrivals reached 1,306,962 in 2025, up from 1,288,804 in 2024. Domestic tourism also grew by 7%, rising from 1.68 million visits in 2024 to 1.79 million visits in 2025.
Total revenue generated from tourist arrivals in 2025 was $4.34 billion.
