2024 All Regional Games Postponed

The organisers of the All Regional Games (ARG) have announced the rescheduling of the multi-discipline sports competition to 2025.

The competition conceived by legendary former Black Stars player, Asamoah Gyan will not take place this year as earlier advertised, they said in a statement issued on October 17, 2024.

Though the motivation for the rescheduling was not relayed, the statement assured that the decision would enable management to plan a more impactful event.

They are determined to take advantage of time to build their partnership and sponsorship base for the event.

“The new date for next year’s event will be announced soon, and we are confident it will be an unforgettable occasion…We’re excited about what’s to come and look forward to an extraordinary event next year.”

Registered athletes will not be impacted by the development, it noted, adding that their data safely sits in the records for next year.

It continued, “New athletes will also be welcomed, with the same rigorous regional trials in place to ensure fair selection and representation. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors for their unwavering support.”

About
The All Regional Games is a multi-discipline sports competition conceived by the former Black Stars captain to dig out sporting talents across Ghana to revive the country’s sports.

The championship which targets athletes between the ages of 18 and 23, features disciplines like football, athletics, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, boxing, e-sports, and arm wrestling.

The initiative requires each region to conduct trials and select its top sportsmen and women, who will then compete against representatives from other regions.

The mission of the ARG is to identify and develop athletes who can proudly represent Ghana on the international stage.
