WHO Donates To MoH

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has donated emergency equipment and supplies to Ghana’s Ministry of Health (MoH), the Ministry has said.

The items were handed over to Mahama Asei Seini, a Deputy Minister for Health by the WHO country representative, Dr Francis Kasolo.

The items included Oxygen Concentrators and Spare parts, Venturi masks for adults, venturi masks for paediatric, and Nasal oxygen cannula with prongs for adults paediatric Nasal oxygen cannula with prongs.

According to the Ministry, this gesture is part of WHO’s support to strengthen the COVID response and emergency preparedness effort in Ghana.

Dr Kasolo noted that the equipment can also be used for other conditions that cause respiratory distress other than COVID-19.
