WhatsApp Group Kum Apem Donates Football Launcher To Kotoko

A section of Asante Kotoko supporters on Kum Apem WhatsApp Group yesterday donated a football launcher to the Ghanaian giants to aid their training especially the goalkeepers.

The automatic ball thrower can help improve the quality of player finishing or ball touch and technique, as well as handling, reflex saves and claiming crosses for keepers. It also provides teams the efficient means to improve on set pieces for both attackers and defenders that are so important in today’s game.

The WhatsApp-based group spent £1,100 to buy the modern training equipment from the United Kingdom and an additional £7,000 for transporting it to Ghana.

The machine was funded through contributions from members and the support from the group’s coffers.

Leader of delegation to the Adako Jachie training complex, Dr. Daniel Owusu Ansah recounted that the kind gesture is part of their resolve to complement Management’s effort to modernise our training with the most innovative modern-day equipments.

Administrative and Operations Manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi who received the donation together with the Communications Manager, Moses Antwi Benefo, Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu, and the players was appreciative of the heartwarming gesture.
“Just yesterday, Coach Maxwell Konadu was asking for a football launcher machine and so this donation has come at a very good time, and we are very grateful to you all”, said Dasoberi as he received the machine.

The industrious Administrative and Operations Manager thanked the group which is known for making standout donations to the team for their copious continuous contributions, reckoning that the Management would work closely with them as they have put a lot of frays to reclaim the club’s pre-eminent position on the continent.

President of the group, Big Joe disclosed that they wanted African Club of the Century to be the first team in Ghana to use such a machine.
“We want to lead the way in the usage of modern-day technology in the development of the game and players. We so wanted to show the positive aspect of using Social Media to the course of Asante Kotoko in the forward match of the great club.”
