Former Western Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Charles Bissue has denied fighting with Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuem, Honurable George Mireku Duker, and inflicting multiple injuries on him while sustaining injury himself.
Speaking with Nana Aba Anamoah, the former presidential staffer noted that they were only engaged in an argument and not a fist fight.
He added that the injuries they sustained came about after they both tripped and fell on a chair in the course of the argument.
“It wasn’t a fight. It was an argument and I tripped, that’s all. My face hit a chair. I would have cried if he had beaten me up”, he said.
He added that he is at peace with Mr. Mireku now.
Honourable George Mireku and Charles Bissue got into a brawl during a workshop organized for parliamentary and regional executive candidates of the New Patriotic Party at Kingston Hotel in Takoradi in 2020.

Footages that emerged revealed Mr. Mireku’s hand bandaged and Mr. Bissue’s eye bruised.
