“We Appreciate Otumfuo”; OAMLP Beneficiaries Say

Beneficiaries of the Otumfuo-Agroecom Mobile Learning Project in Wioso have expressed gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, for his insightful and impactful project aimed at bridging the gap between students in urban areas and the rural space.

The effect of this project on pupils who have benefitted from it is incontestable.

“I thank Otumfuo for the many things he has done for us by including those of us in the rural areas in his projects. God bless him”, Assistant Girls Prefect for Wioso St Peter’s R/C JHS said after the two-week long lessons.

According to the young lady, the OAMLP team, with their 100 sets of laptops and makeshift library, fed them with the needed knowledge and skills and made learning interesting.

“They helped us in reading. They taught us how to go about punctuation marks when reading. We were taught various mouse skills, typing, and a lot of things. Thank you Otumfuo”, she said.

Elijah Danso, a pupil of the Wioso D/A JHS, for his part said, “We appreciate the project dubbed Otumfuo-Agroecom Mobile Learning Project, brought here by Otumfuo and the Mobile learning team”.

“They (OAMLP team) taught us with love and humility. They taught us computer mouse skills, folder creation, and typing skills. In the Library, they taught us how to break words down when reading. Each evening, we enjoyed the cinema sessions on culture. The only place we saw cultural display was at funeral ceremonies or festivals”, the final year student shared.
