US Promises Ghana 1.3million Pfizer Vaccines


The United States of America (USA) has promised Ghana 1.3 Million dozes of Pfizer Vaccines.
 
The announcement was made by Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday, September 23, 2021, during President Akufo-Addo’s visit to the Whitehouse.
The meeting between Ghana and the USA sought to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

On September 4, the US Government donated 1.2 million Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines to Ghana.
The initiative is meant to boost Ghana’s vaccination Programme, and the fight against COVID-19.
The President Akufo-Addo left for the 76th United Nations General Assembly Meeting on Friday, September 17th 2021.
Addressing the Assembly on Wednesday, the President reiterated his objective of vaccinating 20 million of the adult population before the end of the year.
