US Oxygen Plants For Three Regions

The United States Government is to inaugurate oxygen plants in Cape Coast Municipal Hospital in the Central Region; Kumasi South Hospital, in the Ashanti Region; and the Northern Region’s Tamale West Hospital.
This was made known by the US Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Stephanie S. Sullivan, at the inauguration of an oxygen plant at the Ghana Infectious Disease Centre (GIDC) at Kwabenya in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The plant will generate oxygen for 25 patients each day with its capacity to produce more than 200 liters of oxygen per minute.
Additionally, the US will provide technical personnel to assist and train the local health staff in the use and maintenance of the plant.
This, Stephanie S. Sullivan said forms part of the US’ numerous interventions to help in combating the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.
