Unknown Assailants Gun Down Two Policemen

Two police officers have lost their lives after unknown assailants opened fire on them at their private residence in Accra.

The incident transpired at Block factory, East Trasacco in Accra on Thursday, May 2, 2024, and has been established as a targeted killing as the gunmen did not take anything from the victims.

They are said to have sped off on their motorbikes after shooting their victims who at the time were off-duty.

The Ghana Police Service has since launched a manhunt for the two.

“The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for two gunmen who fatally shot two off-duty Police officers sitting in front of their private residence at Block factory, East Trasacco, Accra, today Thursday 2nd May 2024, at about 6:00 pm… An intelligence-led operation to get the suspects arrested is currently ongoing,” a statement from the police said.
